GREAT ARTICLE BY PAT FARNACK OF WCBS

Pat Farnack, midday anchor of WCBS News Radio 880, interviewed Rick Collins, coauthor of ALPHA MALE CHALLENGE with bestselling fitness author James Villepigue, and wrote a follow-up piece for the Bucks Local News.  An excerpt:

"I was thinking about chivalry when I interviewed Rick Collins, a Renaissance man, lawyer, author, trainer and all-around good guy. He has written 'The Alpha Male Challenge,' not only about pumping iron or getting buff, but about being the best man one can be, about getting one’s “male mojo” back.

'Alpha Male' can have a negative connotation, of the top dog keeping everyone else in their place to insure that he leads the pack. In canine training, there’s a tactic of getting the dog to give in by rolling him on his back and grabbing him by the throat until he stops squirming and submits. Rick laughed and said, no it’s not that Neanderthal, aggressive, mean, self-centered attitude at all. It’s not about fear but about being heroic, kind and doing the right thing; of being protective and masculine in the very best sense. It’s being at the top of one’s game both mentally and physically."
